That’s not a garrenty especially in opening fight, that would get most people their ults starting in the second fight or at least some point in the second fight. Unlikely, considering that the enemy team already used at least one ultimate to kill Mercy’s teammates in the previous fight. And in a tug of war style game mode that is rather important. It gives the enemy the chance to push back. Yes the robot is suppose to move back and forth between the two teams, with teams having longer walk from spawn the further the bot is pushed next to a given check point. Which would create to 2 cp issue of fights just getting stale as they keep happening in the same way in the same places. Instead of having the robot move dynamically between the various sections. Secondly both have access to these tools, and can use said tools to basically stall out one section of the map. Like that tool was more infamous for stalling fights, then it was outright giving their team an advantage they couldn’t get from just regrouping from spawn.
Not to mention the removal of recovery ultimates like Mass Rez and Sym’s Teleport which would have made modes like Push (and 2CP) more tolerable with less down time between fights.įor starters if your team was wiped to the point of needing a mass rez, your still more likely to lose out on the next team fight do the enemy now having the ult advantage.
